Lawrence Walsh has a large selection of hinged and sliding door wardrobes available in a wide range of design styles, finishes and sizes. Designs alter depending on the customers preferred method to open and close the doors. Sometimes the decision is already made for the customer because they lack space, have uneven walls and ceilings heights or have a preferred style, colour or finish in mind.
Hinged door wardrobes open out into the room with a 90 degree hinge; however 170 degree hinges are also available to help increase the spaced used to access the wardrobe. The flexibility to customise a hinged wardrobe is much greater compared to a sliding wardrobe, simply because of the mechanics of the bracket.
Lawrence Walsh Hinged door wardrobes are available in 14 different sizes across the Classical and Modern collections. From a single angled wardrobe door to a curved corner wardrobe door there is no limitation to the configurations our customers may have. Finishes ranging from Eco-wood, Lacquer, Glass & Mirror and High Gloss allow our customers to customise and personalise their doors; so there is no reason why hinged wardrobes must appear ordinary unless they wish them to be.
Panelling and handles can also change the appearance of a hinged wardrobe by adding extra detail, texture and personality. Our Classical collection incorporates traditional values and designs dated back from the 17th century Georgian period, to 18th century Shaker period. Attention to detail, the quality of materials and the craftsmanship from these time periods are integrated into every Lawrence Walsh wardrobe. The best features from each era have been skilfully designed and crafted into our collections; for example cornices and pilasters, to give our customers a beautiful and unique piece of furniture full of character and charisma.
The main advantage of having a hinged wardrobe is the variety of door sizes available. A combination of single and double door wardrobes can create a harmonious and balanced space for any bedroom.
Hinged wardrobe doors can be individually tailored to fit around and work alongside most obstacles; whether it is an issue with dimensions, accessing power points or cutting to sloping ceilings or beams, we can adapt our ranges to create bespoke solutions for your unique situations.
When sliding doors are the answer look no further than the Modern collection. Just like hinged wardrobes, sliding doors are available in Eco-wood, Lacquer, Glass & Mirror and High Gloss. Designers at Lawrence Walsh use these finishes to customise and personalise each design, by using one individual finish or combining finishes creating a unique look.
Lawrence Walsh sliding door wardrobes glide smoothly on tracking systems located on the top and bottom of the wardrobe carcass. The tracks are positioned on the carcass so the doors appears to float off the ground; perfect for positioning above carpets, accessing clothes, pulling out drawers and hoovering right up to the plinth reducing build-up of dust.
The advantages of having a sliding door wardrobe is that no additional space in the room, whether doors are opened or closed is used.
Lawrence Walsh sliding wardrobes are available in 3 different heights, 7 different widths and with the option of reducing heights if required. Creating a symmetrical run of wardrobes, doors in the same size, will maximise the access space into the wardrobe. A sliding door which over hangs another can result in limited interior options. If full access is available the complete range of interiors like pull down hanging rail, Interior drawers and pull out shoe tray are available. Designers at Lawrence Walsh will always plan to maximise the space provided, to accommodate our client’s requests and needs.
